Famitsu shares new Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition details
The latest issue of Famitsu has another update on Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. Thanks to the magazine, we have several new details about the game.
Players will be able to “power up” and “change form” of Mario and friends in Toad houses, which are located on the world map. This requires a specific item obtained from a defeated enemy or from a question block. Not only does a form change alter the visuals of the character, but abilities are raised as well. Synthesizing two characters is also possible. One of the characters turns into experience points, while the other is lost in the process.
Worlds in Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition include a grassland, a desert, an area above clouds, southern area, and a forest. Stages have a unique element associated with it – such as wood for forest – and enemies differ accordingly. It’s best for players to compose a team which takes use of weaknesses of enemies. We’ll also mention that there are secret passages in stages which lead to underwater segments.
Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition lets players select either Mario or Luigi as a team leader. The team consists of the leader, an assist character, and partners. Teams are made up of a total of six members. Leaders and assist characters have special “leader skills”.
