Over on the official series Twitter account, the team behind Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package have been answering fan questions. Various details have been shared including confirmation that Nintendo Switch Online is supported for voice chat, details on frame rate / resolution, and more.
Here’s a roundup of the tidbits:
– There is no cross platform support or transfer for the Switch release
– No news about Saints Row 4 for Switch
– All the same songs are included on Switch from the original release
– You will be able to use the Nintendo Switch Online app to chat
– Both the Unlockable Pack and Bloodsucker Pack were excluded from both the original Full Package release, as well as the upcoming Switch version due to the fact that these are cheat DLC and break game balance
– Gameplay coming soon, prior to release
– No visual enhancements
– 1080p / 30 FPS docked
– 720p / 30 FPS undocked
– Native video capture will be supported
– There is a planned small 110Mb day 0 patch on release, but other than that, the full 7GB game is on the cart
– The DLC is included in the base game and not via a download code
– No amiibo support
– There will be co-op via either Nintendo Switch Online or over local wireless
– My Steelport and character sharing from the website is not returning
– The Switch port will have the ability to save a Boss locally and load them later, the same way it works for the Saints Row IV: Re-Elected port
– It is uncensored in all regions except Japan which needed to keep the original censorship to be sold there
– No plans to remaster older Saints Row games
