Inti Creates on the possibility of Blaster Master Zero 4
Inti Creates has addressed the possibility of Blaster Master Zero 4 happening in the future.
A little while back, Dengeki Online had the opportunity to interview Satoru Nishizawa, who has been the series’ producer since the first entry in the series. He wouldn’t commit to anything, but wouldn’t rule out Blaster Master Zero 4 happening at some point in the future.
Below is Nintendo Everything’s translation of Nishizawa’s comments:
Blast Master Zero 3 ends so cleanly – it may be strange to ask, but are there any thoughts to a possible 4?
I’m always thinking about that same thing too!
An exploration-adventure game that mixes side-scrolling and a top down viewpoint is truly unique, and personally something I’d like to see more of. Making that kind of game difficult…
For us, if we don’t anticipate demand for the series, that’s enough of a reason to move on.
Of course, having said that, it’s not feasible for us to keep promoting the game indefinitely, so we hope those people who have enjoyed the games up until now will recommend them to friends hungry for something to play. Recommending the game helps our community grow even further.
Simply put, it’s encouraging to hear the well-voiced opinions, thoughts and reviews of our community.
If things go well maybe there will be a day when we can deliver the next game, but there’s certainly no guarantee.
The original Blaster Master Zero launched in 2017. In 2019, Inti Creates followed up with a sequel. Blaster Master Zero 3 then just came to Switch this past summer.
Big thanks to Simon Griffin and Jarop for contributing to this post.
