A new Shin Megami Tensei V daily demon video has been shared by Atlus. The developer has been rolling out these videos to showcase each of the game’s upcoming demons before it arrives on Switch next week. The latest featured demon is Sudama, check it out along with some extra details below the break.

Here is some of the history behind the Jirae demon Sudama, courtesy of the Megami Tensei wiki:

Sudama, whose name means “lurking souls”, are mischievous one footed spirits that roam the mountains, dwelling in large and ancient trees, rocks and rivers. Sudama are born from the pure essence of the rocks and trees of lush, green mountains where few humans have set foot.

Sudama never cause trouble, and sometimes take human shape in order to watch over their mountain homes. Tradition holds that when you are in the mountains and get the feeling you are being watched, it is a Sudama watching you.

They are sometimes identified with the Kodama.

Shin Megami Tensei V is scheduled to arrive on Switch on November 12. Earlier coverage for the game, including all previous daily demon videos highlighting the various demons set to appear in Shin Megami Tensei V, can be found here.
