Entire Sonic voice cast is returning for Sonic Frontiers

During a “Sonic Official” live stream earlier today, SEGA shared a tiny bit of extra information about Sonic Frontiers – including news regarding the game’s voice cast.

According to social media specialist Justin Thormann, the entire Sonic voice cast is returning for the upcoming Switch title. That means fans can expect to hear Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails (who will also be playing the same role in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie), Cindy Robinson as Amy, and Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman.

Towards the end of the Sonic Frontiers trailer that debuted at The Game Awards last week, we briefly heard a character’s voice. While there’s been some confusion about that, Thormann confirmed that it was in fact Amy speaking.

For now, other than voice cast news, SEGA is still holding back on what it’s choosing to tell us about Sonic Frontiers. The company recently teased that players will have “an experience like never before, accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high velocity, open-zone freedom.” We also know that the game is set on Starfall Islands, which features “dense forests, overflowing waterfalls, sizzling deserts and more”.

Sonic Frontiers will be hitting Switch in time for next holiday. More information will be shared leading up to release.
