[Let’s Talk] What are you playing? – June 2022
A new month started up a few days ago. Now that we’re in June, we want to know what you’ve been playing.
Have you gotten involved in the demo for Mario Strikers: Battle League? Maybe you’re giving other releases a spin like Pac-Man Museum+, Touken Ranbu Warriors, Card Shark, or OPUS: Echo of Starsong? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.
Highlights from last week’s topic: What do you want to see from Pokemon Scarlet / Violet?
Fourth Gate
no more exp share, easier IV/EV training, more trainer customizing, no more big pokemon, return mega evolutions, more open world, no set gym order. set as default, no items in battle, consistent battle with how it plays online
Dragnoran
Difficulty options choosable from start or at least somewhat meaningful difficulty instead of it being hard NOT to steamroll everything and get overleveled, Meaningful exploration, puzzles. No obscenely broken stuff like zacian. Fuecoco Evolution thats a dragon(non serpent or uber fat), dino, or croc (without butterfly wings) and that doesn’t repeat type combo from PLA. Sprigatito to stay on all fours. Significant post game. Improved pokemon idle animations. A interesting gimmick (or just lack of one) rather than just beign forcused around flashy custcenish moves for a turn or a few. Better pokemon size scaling in battle, needn’t be 100% accurate for stuff like wailord but should be a lot better than it is. An actually threatening villain team against instead of stuff like team skull or shout. Oh and a better handle reveal cycle than swsh with at least starter mid forms shown earlier on and no nonsense like that galarian ponyta stream. I’d also like more upfront communication on major cuts rather than having them hidden in treehouse a week after showing off whats new.

Coming off Pokémon Legends Arceus, not having played mainline games since gen2, I would like more realistic behaviour in the fields, Pokémon interacting with their environment and not just moving around their spawn point.
Also better level design, environments that are actually interesting to explore.
It would be nice if the games were able to host all Pokémon to-date.
For the rest I can’t really tell so I trust people who have followed mainline games.
