Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update out now (version 2.2.1), patch notes
Another update is here for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, with the game moving up to version 2.2.1. We also have the official patch notes from Nintendo.
This isn’t quite major as only two specific issues have been addressed. The first one deals with Berlin Byways getting choppy when playing online. With the second, Lakitu wouldn’t put players in the correct spot after falling off of course in London Loop, but this has now been addressed. Based on what Nintendo has said, that’s all there is here.
The official patch notes for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version 2.2.1 update are as follows:
Fixed Issues
- Fixed issue where, when playing online in Berlin Byways, the image would get choppy.
- Fixed issue where, when playing in London Loop, player is carried in by Lakitu after falling off of course and they were not returned to the appropriate location.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe received its big version 2.2.0 update earlier in the month. That one added support for the latest Booster Course Pass DLC, but also included other elements like a brand new Custom Items feature. We have the patch notes here for those that missed it.
All players on Switch can download the latest update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now.
