Side Order 100 percent

If you’re willing to put in several hours for Splatoon 3’s new Side Order DLC, it’s possible to 100 percent complete the mode – and we’ve put together a full list of criteria. Be warned, however – while fully beating Side Order isn’t terribly difficult, it does rely on RNG somewhat. If that’s okay with you, then let’s get right into our Side Order 100 percent completion guide.

Side Order 100% Completion Guide

Side Order 100% Completion Guide

See the image above? This is by far the most difficult part of Side Order 100 percent completion. These are Color Chips, items you obtain during runs of the Spire of Order. If you don’t know what these are, they’re specific boosts for your weapon or your Octoling’s stats – for more information, check out our Side Order beginner’s guide. Above each Color Chip is a row of three lights. When you obtain five of the same Color Chip in a single Spire of Order run, all three of its lights will light up in the menu. You’ll also notice some of the Color Chips are connected via lines – if you light up all the Color Chips in each group, you’ll receive a corresponding Badge for your Splashtag.

In other words, you need to do lots of Spire of Order runs, and you need to obtain five of a Color Chip in a run in order to activate its lights. We’ve got some tips, though. A lot of the Color Chips you need are specific to certain weapons. For example, you can only get the Extra Dodge Roll chip when you use the Dualies. Problem is, the Dualies (and most other weapons with weapon-specific Color Chips) are not likely to encounter Blue Color Chips. To fix this, you’ll want to turn off all Drone hacks, all Color Chip-bias hacks, and all guaranteed Vending Machine hacks. From there, earn as many Membux as possible and do a floor reset whenever you can. If luck is on your side, you’ll be able to obtain five of the weapon-specific Color Chips you need in one run of the Spire of Order.

This will take quite some time, and outside of turning off those hacks and resetting floors, there’s not much you can do to improve your odds. It’s decently easy to get Color Chips that aren’t weapon specific, though! Pick a Palette that matches the color you want and use Membux floor resets to max out as many Color Chips as you can.

Other completion requirements

Splatoon 3

We’ve gotten the big task out of the way, but there are still a few to complete other than collecting maxed-out Color Chips. To get closer towards Side Order 100 percent completion, you’ll also need to clear the Spire of Order with every single Palette. You’ll need to do this to get all the Color Chips anyway, but it’s still worth listing here just in case.

Something else you’ll need to do is purchase all of the rewards from Cipher’s shop, which is unlocked after you beat the game. Check out our full list of rewards for more information. You’ll also need to fill out the Jelleton field guide, which requires you to defeat a certain number of each enemy to unlock comments from Pearl, Marina, and Acht. Again, this is something you’ll be working towards as you go for Color Chips anyway.

One last thing – unlock all of Marina’s hacks. It takes a lot of Prlz to unlock everything. Fortunately, 100 percent completion is easiest when you multitask – so this is something else you can work towards while you grind Color Chips. Once you’ve accomplished all four of these tasks, you’ve successfully 100% completed the game. It’s kind of impossible to 100 percent complete Splatoon 3 as a whole thanks to some of its more egregious Badges (1,000 Megalodontia splats, hosting a 1,000-player tournament), so finishing Side Order instead is the next best thing.

If you have any questions on how to 100 percent complete Side Order that weren’t answered here, feel free to let us know below. Color Chips can be a little bit tricky, so we’re happy to help if you need it. Have you fully finished Side Order yet? Let us know in the comments down below.
