Yakuza Kiwami getting physical release on Switch after all

In a surprising move, Yakuza Kiwami will be getting a physical release on Switch after all.

Limited Run Games just pulled back the curtain on two boxed version for the console – standard and Classic Edition. For those that go with the Classic Edition, you’ll get a copy of the game, spot gloss premium box with slipcover, soundtrack, collectible acrylic standee, Mesuking cards, and character cards.

This news comes as a surprise given what we heard previously about Yakuza Kiwami. SEGA indicated the game would be digital-only in Switch, including in Japan. However, the company was ultimately able to make a deal with Limited Run Games for the west. As of now there still isn’t any news about a Japanese retail release.

You can pre-order the physical versions of Yakuza Kiwami for Switch here. Copies are estimated to ship in March.
