Video: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch vs. Switch 2 comparison shows big improvement

A new video comparison has come in for Animal Crossing: New Horizons showing how the game has improved on Nintendo Switch 2 compared to the original Switch.

Nintendo released a handful of improvement updates this past week for various games, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons wasn’t one of them. Still, the new system alone is able to run it better thanks to the more powerful hardware.

Mayor Mori put up the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch vs. Switch 2 comparison. For the initial boot to play time, we see a massive improvement here. On Nintendo Switch 2, this now takes about a minute. It was roughly double the time on the previous console. Nintendo Switch 2 is also a bit better regarding when starting the dream segments.

Also on the topic of dreams, there’s a huge improvement with lag on Nintendo Switch 2. Mayor Mori shows in the comparison that on Nintendo Switch 1, there’s quite a bit that pops in. Everything runs much more smoothly on Nintendo Switch 2.
