[Let’s Talk] Which Nintendo Switch games have you tried on Switch 2?
Nintendo Switch 2 launched last week with a bunch of games, but one of the system’s big selling points is its backwards compatibility. Almost every game released on the previous console is supported. Nintendo has even come out with a few free updates that offer bonuses like improved frame rate, enhanced resolution, and more. We’ve also seen Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom with new editions. But that’s not all, as many Nintendo Switch 1 titles automatically run better on Switch 2 – at least ones that had uncapped frame rates and dynamic resolution.
So while you’ve probably been playing a lot of Mario Kart World, have you tried out any specific Nintendo Switch games on Switch 2? Which titles have impressed you? Let us know in the comments.
Highlights from last week’s topic: First Nintendo Switch 2 impressions

The system feels very premium. It is of course significantly more powerful than the original but it also just… Feels… like a high end product. The texture of the joycon (and in particular the pro controller) just feels expensive if that makes sense haha. My Steamdeck and in particular the original Switch feel like plastic toys in comparison.
I also love the magnetic connection of the joycon. It feels like sorcery that they hold the joycon on so firmly. There is still an ever so slight flex if I put force on them in a diagonal position, but the the console feels like a solid unit when they’re attached. And it’s really satisfying taking them off and putting them back on… My new addiction.
The screen is beautiful. Very vivid and the colours really pop. And the blacks while not inky black like on the OLED, are not far off from true black. The jump to 1080p is great as well.
My only very slight complaint is, that on demanding games like Cyberpunk, I am only getting about 2 hours from the battery. But considering trying to play cyberpunk on my steamdeck only gets me 45 minutes from the battery (and looks far worse than the Switch 2 version too), that’s not awful I guess.

I did not ever think or dream the Nintendo Switch 2 would be this amazing. Almost all Nintendo Switch games I loaded looked CRAZY (docked mode). Dark Souls looks so CLEAN and Dragon Quest looks really clear.
Mario Kart World is so full of soul it hurts my feelings playing it. I want to cry seeing how far Nintendo games and art style have come.
Cyberpunk 2077 sold me on the system. It is so crazy to think something this good looking is running on such a small console!
Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma Nintendo Switch 2 edition is TWO games in one. Works both on the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2!
No mans sky is WILD! Fantasy Life hard copy with “free” (used golden coins) Upgrade to Nintendo Switch 2 edition looks so GOOD! I have waited forever to start the game.
My only hope now is that Nintendo updates the Nintendo Switch 2 to let me play Nintendo Switch games in handheld mode on the Nintendo Switch 2 with the option to make it work docked….as in Nintendo Switch 2 handheld playing Switch games docked. The games look really bad cause of the 720p screen and lower power and the 1080p screen of the Nintendo Switch 2.

Switch 2 is fantastic. A worthy upgrade from the original Switch, with a surprise bonus: it smoothes out any awkward parts of previous Switch ports. Case in point: Trials of Mana — 30 fps on Switch, is now 60 fps on Switch. It’s better than I thought it would be.
