Red Dead Redemption confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2
Red Dead Redemption is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Rockstar has confirmed. It will be available on December 2, 2025.
Red Dead Redemption includes the main game and the “Undead Nightmare” expansion plus bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. On Nintendo Switch 2, the game runs at 60 frames per second. There’s also support for DLSS, HDR, and mouse controls.
Red Dead Redemption owners on Nintendo Switch will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version for free. Save data also carries over.

Step into the events immediately following the blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2, in the critically acclaimed tale of John Marston’s journey to bury his blood-stained past. In its zombie-horror companion “Undead Nightmare,” fight to find a cure for the zombie plague that has overrun the frontier. All these new versions feature the complete single-player experiences of both games, and also include bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.
