[Let’s Talk] Kirby Air Riders impressions

The rollout of notable Switch 2 games continues, and this week Nintendo brought out Kirby Air Riders. About two decades after the original on GameCube, a sequel to the racer has released. This is also the first title we’ve seen from director Masahiro Sakurai since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2018.

Locky Mavo

Just like the first one, it looks fun. Though I’m still not a fan of how Peach is depicted. Rosalina looks good and I’m fine with Brie voicing her, she actually sounds quite good. I’m still not all that familiar with Benny Safdie, except he’s known more for directing than VA/acting work, but Bowser Jr. sounds fine too.

Still, an “interesting” choice to jump straight to Galaxy and to incorporate some Odyssey content. Can’t wait to see Yoshi.

Luke Houser Fan

I don’t have much faith in this. I didn’t like the first one. I’m probably not going to like this one. All the same, I’m interested to see what they do.

It should be a fun time regardless and the character performances should be good like the first.
