The best custom Kirby Air Riders machines we’ve seen so far
Kirby Air Riders is out now on Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s got the best vehicle customization out of any racing game Nintendo has ever published. One of the game’s key features is that you can connect to the Machine Market and use your in-game currency to buy custom designs for each machine. Unfortunately, all of the popular ones are really expensive – the more people buy them, the more expensive they become. So we scoured the new section for awesome-looking Air Ride machines that aren’t anywhere near as expensive as the more popular ones just yet. That also means we aren’t including any of those crazy Chef Kawasaki designs here. Sorry!

First up, we’ve got a Tatsugiri Warp Star design – one of the most detailed custom Kirby Air Riders machines yet. It also goes to show how much work decals do in custom designs – you can make just about anything even with only circles, ovals, rectangles, and lines. The ID for this one is M5MVGKHD.

Keeping up the Pokemon theme is this Talonflame-themed Wing Star, which flies just as high as Talonflame can in Pokemon games. The ID for this one is MNWXT414. We’ve seen designs for Fletchling and Fletchinder online too, but Talonflame is probably the most well-liked of the three if we had to guess.

Most custom Kirby Air Riders machines are for the Wagon Star or Warp Star. In comparison, the Hop Star doesn’t get as many custom designs. But this one depicts Clodsire from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with a purple accent on top to reflect its poison spikes that pop out during certain move animations. The ID is MP5V4RS4.

One last Pokemon design for now, this one depicting Mega Dragonite. It’s even got fancy animated wing accessories on its head! The ID for this is M6F1F8JJ if you want to get it for yourself.

This is one of the coolest machines we’ve seen yet – a Transform Star that switches between a Nintendo 64 design and a SNES design (the one with purple buttons, not the colored ones). For how cool it is, this Transform Star isn’t terribly expensive just yet, though if you’re reading this post days after publishing the price may have gone up. The ID is MSJ4RMRN.

For fans of Persona, this Wagon Star is based on the Morgana Bus from Persona 5. The ID is MTRV89XG.

This one is based on the Dark Star from Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. It just so happens that the color palette is a perfect match for Meta Knight, if you happen to main him! The ID is MNF03RVS.

This isn’t the Dragoon itself, but a Wing Star fashioned after it. If you’re having trouble collecting all of the Dragoon pieces in City Trial, this is probably the next best thing! The ID is MXVJVNR9.

A lot of the SpongeBob designs on the Machine Market get expensive surprisingly quickly, but this is one of the cheaper ones we could find that still looks really good. The ID is M6NN4NHF.
What are your favorite custom machines in Kirby Air Riders so far? If you have made any machines you want to share, feel free to leave the ID in the comments down below. And if you want to see another installment where we post cool-looking customs that aren’t in the Popular section quite yet, let us know if you’d be interested.
