[Let’s Talk] What are you playing? – January 2026
A new month started up last week. Now that we’re in January (and 2026), we want to know what you’ve been playing.
Given the holiday period and very start of the year, things have been slow for new releases. Still, it’s the perfect time to catch up on games you may have missed. No matter what you’re playing currently, let us know in the comments.
Highlight from last week’s topic: Your most anticipated game of 2026
Stephen Yap
Probably Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. I love Batman and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and this upcoming game looks to be a good combination of the two, in my eyes. The only other game of my interest is Starsand Island, which looks to be a cozy time with a fantastic art style to boot.
…but if I had stick with “Nintendo” games, then I guess Mario Tennis Fever. I enjoyed Mario Tennis Aces quite a bit, especially after its underwhelming 3DS and Wii U entries, and this upcoming entry looks to be building upon that. The only other Nintendo game my eye is on is Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and while it does look good, I’m still cautious on it (especially after how disappointed I was with Yoshi’s Crafted World).

I am a simple man. I see Yoshi, I consume.

I have 4
– Order Up! (Switch 2)
– Bluey’s Quest For The Gold Pen
– Rhythm Heaven Groove
– Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream
Locky Mavo
Nothing really standing out at the moment. Though I am interested in Pragmata and RE9 is looking good. Talks about MH Wilds has me hoping for Dragon’s Dogma 2. I am hopeful for Elden Ring and interested to see more on The Duskbloods.
Other than that, hoping to see some MKW dlc in the form of DK Bananza content. More 3D party support, both new and old.
And hoping for some good anniversaries surprises, a lot of Nintendo franchises hitting some big milestones this year.
