Metroid Prime 4: Beyond reviews roundup
We’re just on the cusp of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s launch, and initial reviews have started to hit. Verdicts are dropping with the game coming in just a couple of days.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a significant launch as it’s one of the longest waits we’ve ever seen for a Nintendo game. First announced in 2017, it was rebooted in 2019 with Retro Studios being assigned to handle development at the time. Retro is revisiting what made the series so great with first-person adventure gameplay, but is throwing new wrinkles into the mix such as the motorcycle Vi-O-La that helps players explore planet Viewros and new psychic abilities.
Below is the roundup of initial reviews for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond:
IGN – 8 / 10
Game Informer – 8.75 / 10
GamesRadar – 3.5 / 5
Eurogamer – 3 / 5
Shacknews – 9 / 10
Gamereactor – 6 / 10
Destructoid – 7.5 / 10
Polygon – N/A
