Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is almost here, and to get you up to speed on where you can pre-order, we’ve put together a helpful guide. We’ll also be sure to alert you about any bonuses that are made available at retailers, so expect this post to be updated until release.
Advance Wars has been on hiatus for well over a decade, but 1+2: Re-Boot Camp now sees the franchise return with remakes of the first two games Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. Aside from a visual overhaul, various new features are included such as Commanding Officers that are now voiced, the ability to create and share custom maps in the Design Room, and support for online multiplayer.

Add-ons / amiibo
Currently there is no word on any amiibo support for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Advance Wars is a bit of a less popular franchise compared to the likes of Mario and Zelda, so new figures were always unlikely. The game will also not support any previously-released figures from other Nintendo series.
As far as accessories go, there’s nothing in that department either. We won’t be seeing any new Switch carrying cases, covers, or other add-ons.
When does Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp launch?
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was originally planned to launch towards the end of 2021, but was eventually delayed to Spring 2022. Nintendo then confirmed a new April 8, 2022 release date during the latest Nintendo Direct in February. However, the game is now experiencing another delay “due to recent world events”. A new date has not been announced at this time.
