Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp delayed due to “recent world events”
Nintendo is delaying Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp for a second time, the company has announced.
Most recently, the game was planned for April 8, 2022. It has now been pushed back to an unspecified date.
Nintendo’s statement reads:
In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was originally slated for December 3, 2021. Nintendo ended up delaying the game for “a little fine tuning.”
It’s clear at this point that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is complete, so this has nothing to do with the game itself. Instead, Nintendo is looking to be respectful of what’s happening in the world at present. While not specifically mentioned in the statement, we can safely assume that the decision was made because of what’s happening with Russia and Ukraine.
We’ll let you know when we have a new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Keep track of our pre-order guide here.
