Alan Wake Remastered update out now on Switch, improves performance

Remedy released a new update for the Switch version of Alan Wake Remastered, and it’s out now to those who previously purchased the title. The game should now be at version 1.0.1.
There aren’t any patch notes to share as the update is pretty straightforward. According to an official tweet, it “improves overall framerate and performance, especially when the game is played in docked mode.”
Alan Wake Remastered was an exciting announcement for Switch at the time, but the launch didn’t exactly go smoothly. Those who played the game noticed that performance was an issue. Despite targeting 30 frames per second, consistent drops could be seen, making it far from a smooth experience. The problems were more pronounced when playing docked.
Now that the Alan Wake Remastered update is here, we’re hoping that those frame rate issues have been dealt with. We’ll let you know if any other information comes to light.
