Arcade Archives Toypop gameplay

Toypop is the latest Arcade Archives addition on Switch, and those that’d like a closer look can check out new gameplay. Per usual, footage was shown during Hamster’s latest live stream this week.

Here’s a bit of information about Toypop:

Toy Pop is an action game released by Namco (Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.) in 1986. You control Pino and Acha, who pop out of a toy box, and collect the hearts hidden in the box (stage) to open the door and advance. Use the change targets hidden in the boxes to change weapons and defeat enemies. Defeat the witch in the final box and save the toyland.

The “Arcade Archives” series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.

You can see the gameplay for Arcade Archives Toypop below starting at 3:10:40.

Arcade Archives Toypop is now up on the Switch eShop. It includes English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish language options.
