Warren Spector discusses the many projects he’d be interested in making
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Warren Spector is interested in making a few things – well, a lot of things. He’d like to bring the original Epic Mickey to HD platforms, for instance.
Spector still has a great, great deal of interest in making a Duck Tales game. He often bugs Disney with his requests, but as far as we know, nothing is in the works yet.
If it does happen, the Duck Tales title “might be a little more cinematic than adventure-y.” Spector feels the IP’s settings require “this really big, epic, Indiana Jones kind of adventure thing.” He’d also include story driven gameplay with player choices and “more than two-player co-op”.
Spector talked about one idea in which a player would control the Duck Tales triplets while another controls Launchpad McQuack or Donald Duck.
Yasumi Matsuno “in perfect health”
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
A few days ago, Yasumi Matsuno announced his departure from Level-5. It came off as a bit of an odd move since his position lasted just a little more than a year.
When Matsuno left Square Enix a number of years ago, health issues were the primary reasons behind the decision.
Some fans thought that his health may have led to his retirement from Level-5 as well. Fortunately, Matsuno wrote on Twitter that he’s in “perfect health.”
“To concerned friends: I’m happy to report I’m in perfect health. Just taking a little time to recharge before my next project! thx. :)”
Ubisoft wants Uplay on Wii U sometime after launch
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Ubisoft’s Uplay service affords a variety of functionality. It acts as a digital distribution platform, as well as a multiplayer and achievement tracker that has been used in mos to the company’s recent games.
Uplay won’t be compatible with Wii U immediately. But according to Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot, he’s hoping it’ll be ready sometime after launch.
“We hope to have a good connection with their systems because Nintendo has been very open to us and allowed us to use our systems to communicate with our customers.”
GamesMaster’s Nintendo Land review – individual mini-game ratings

A few days ago, the first review of Nintendo Land arrived from the latest issue of GamesMaster. The publication handed out an 86% score.
Along with the review of the overall game, GamesMaster provided individual write-ups and ratings for each mini-game included in Nintendo Land. Reader joclo typed up that information from the magazine – see below.
Animal Crossing Sweet Day – 5/5
“Sweet Day may look like it’s saccharine simplicity – but there’s a raw tactical edge beneath the happy smiles.”
The Legend of Zelda Battle Quest – 3/5
“Battle Quest isn’t as patchwork as the art-style would suggest…”
