REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Nintendo of America has a perfectly pink new option for consumers looking to win over their loved ones this Valentine’s Day. Starting Feb. 10, a Pearl Pink edition of the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system – previously available only as part of a limited-edition bundle – will be available as a stand-alone item at retailers nationwide, offered at a suggested retail price of $169.99.
In addition to free Wi-Fi access at thousands of locations across the nation, fun augmented-reality features and the ability to enjoy games and videos in 3D without the need for special glasses, Nintendo 3DS has a host of built-in social features that can keep users connected to their special someone throughout the year, plus a great lineup of games (sold separately) that lovebirds can enjoy together:

Secret Square Enix team working on an unannounced project

As we’ve previously mentioned, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy were featured in the January 19 issue of Famitsu.
Tetsuya Nomura was interviewed by the magazine and briefly discussed upcoming Square Enix titles.
At the end of the discussion, Nomura was asked about Square Enix’s outlook for 2012. He pointed to the company’s lineup for the year, and also teased an unannounced project from a secret team.
Nomura said:
“…There is also a secret team working on an unannounced title, so there is a chance that some information about that will be announced this year too, please continue looking forward to these announcements.”

Comparison: Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS2, 3DS, and PS3/360

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D has largely been considered irrelevant due to to Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. The collection is already out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and technically gives you more bang for your buck as it features three titles from the series – including Metal Gear Solid 3.
Some series followers have also argued that the visuals in Snake Eater 3D have seen a downgrade compared to the original PS2 title. That did appear to be the case with some early screenshots, but a new round of images shows that the game’s graphics have improved a bit.

Samus Aran figures coming in June

Max Factory is readying a couple of new Samus Aran figurines based on her appearance in Metroid: Other M. One of the figures is based on Aran in her Varia Suit (3,620 yen) while the other is a 1/8th scale figure of the bounty hunter in the Zero Suit (7,429 yen).
Both products will be released in June. You can pre-order each figure here.

Ace Attorney 5 is in development

Earlier today, Capcom announced that Ace Attorney 5 is in the works. We don’t have any details about the project, nor do we have any screenshots to show you. Capcom did, however, send out the logo above.
We can only hope that Ace Attorney 5 is in development for the 3DS. It’d be a perfect fit!
