Miitomo to end support for iOS 7
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 3 Comments
Since Miitomo released early this year, it’s been possible to use the app with a device running on iOS 7. However, this will no longer be the case as early as December.
An update is on the way to Miitomo on or after December. Once that happens, you won’t be able to continue experiencing the app on the older version of iOS. Nintendo said the move is being done “in order to continue improving our service and your experience”.
Head past the break for the notice in full.

Pokemon Sun/Moon demo – New 3DS vs. regular 3DS comparison
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Videos | 5 Comments
For the most part, the Pokemon Sun/Moon demo is the same on all 3DS systems. The experience itself is exactly the same obviously. Differences on New 3DS and regular 3DS (plus 2DS) systems come down to how it runs.
Just as we’ve talked about before, the demo disables things like Miiverse on older 3DS systems. It also causes the system to fully reboot when it’s closed.
You can view a comparison video between the New 3DS and regular 3DS below. Again, they’re mostly the same, though the New 3DS seems to handle the last battle better in terms of performance.

Rumor: Nintendo won’t offer a handheld-only package for Switch at launch
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 46 Comments
Laura Kate Dale is back with another brief report about Switch on LetsPlayVideoGames.
Speaking with a source with Nintendo who has provided accurate information in the past, the Dock will be included with all packages for Switch in every region. Nintendo is said to focusing on the system’s hybrid nature as part of its marketing efforts. Including the Dock is the company’s way of ensuring that there won’t be brand confusion.
Apparently, Nintendo considered selling the handheld unit as a standalone product, but ultimately decided against doing so. There were some concerns that consumers who purchased the portable device without the Dock may still think they could connect it to a television. Also unsurprisingly, Nintendo has no plans for the Switch handheld to be able to connect to a TV without the Dock.
