Nintendo has revealed that the original Bayonetta will be receiving a standard physical release on Switch. The company says that there’ll be a “limited number” that will be offered for pre-order “via select retailers” as well as at launch through the My Nintendo Store.
Bayonetta 1 technically has a physical release on Switch already. However, it was only provided as part of the Japanese collector’s edition which was bundled with Bayonetta 2.
Bayonetta first launched in 2009. It later appeared on Wii U in 2014 and then on Switch in 2018. Bayonetta 2 debuted as a Wii U exclusive in 2014 before making its way to Switch in 2018.
The standalone physical release for Bayonetta 1 on Switch will cost $29.99. It will be available on September 30, 2022.
Nintendo also just announced that Bayonetta 3 will be launching on October 28, 2022. We have the latest details as well as a new trailer here.
