Bravely series Twitter account might be teasing another game
Last week, Square Enix and Nintendo announced that Octopath Traveler reached the milestone of one million copies shipped worldwide so far. They did so by posting the illustration below, which people quickly noticed looked a lot like a piece of artwork of Airy from the Bravely Default series:
Of course, a lot of speculation ensued after that, but it might have just been a cute little nod since producer Tomoya Asano, as well as a couple other staff members, worked on both Octopath Traveler and the Bravely series. However, today the official Japanese Bravely series Twitter account posted the header image above, confirming the connection between the two images and asking fans to “look forward to the next Square Enix 11 BD game”. Although nothing is confirmed yet, this all seems to be pointing to another Bravely game being in the works, which isn’t a huge surprise. Of course, we don’t know yet if this potential new game will be on a Nintendo platform – after all, the Bravely series also has a browser game in 2012’s Bravely Default: Praying Brage as well as a mobile game in 2017’s Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect.
We will keep you updated as soon as there’s an official announcement.
