Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has received a lot of attention for bringing back a lot of retro titles including some that many thought were unlikely to return anytime soon, but that could be just the start. Producer Shuhei Matsumoto has indicated that the company hopes to do more in the future.

In a recent interview, Matsumoto stated that Capcom wants all of its classic fighting games on modern consoles. That tidbit comes as part of an interview with IGN.

Matsumoto said the following:

“We want all our classic fighting games to be available for modern consoles because we just want to be able to reach as many people who may have never had the opportunity to play these games back in the day. So we constantly think forward, and we want to make sure that it’s as accessible as possible for all audiences.”

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics launches on Switch later this year. Aside from the beloved Marvel vs. Capcom 2, it’ll come with Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, X-Men: Children of the Atom, and The Punisher. You can read about the release here.

Also note that Capcom Fighting Collection was previously launched on Switch. That features a variety of Darkstalkers and Pocket Fighter games plus Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness, Red Earth, and Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition. Find more about that here.
