3DS

Nintendo’s Japanese division has officially announced the sale of downloadable 3DS retail titles. Starting on July 28, consumers can buy New Super Mario Bros. 2 (4,800 yen) and Onitore (3,800 yen) as digital releases.

Three options are available for such purchases:

1. 3DS owners can pick up a download card from retailers and then apply it on the eShop
2. Purchase a download code from online shops and then redeem it on the eShop
3. Make a purchase on the eShop directly

Those who download New Super Mario Bros. 2 or Onitore will receive a few bonuses.

If the purchase is made before September 2, consumers will receive “Donkey Kong Original Edition” through Club Nintendo. The Pie Factory stage is included in the title. Club Nintendo members will also be rewarded with twice the amount of points for their game registrations and an extra twenty points if both New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Onitore are downloaded.

This is a big year for Kingdom Hearts. The series is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and one could argue that Kingdom Hearts 3D is the first “true” follow-up to KHII.

Given the amount of convoluted plots and storylines that have been made over the past decade, it could be intimidating for new players to step inside the Kingdom Hearts universe. Square Enix’s Tai Yasue commented on this and more in a new interview.

Head past the break to read up on what Yasue had to say.
