London (8th May 2009) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces two brand new releases from TAITO® based on classic video game franchises. PUZZLE BOBBLE GALAXY™ will be released on Nintendo DS™ this summer, and SPACE INVADERS EXTREME 2 will be available on Nintendo DS in the autumn.
PUZZLE BOBBLE GALAXY is a match-three arcade puzzle game starring the loveable Bub and Bob dinosaur brothers from the hugely popular Bubble Bobble game. Players will embark on a magnificent adventure set in space as they help battle against powerful enemies who are trying to rule the entire universe. True to the original classic, players will shoot balls from the cannon located at the bottom of the screen, matching colours with the gaggle of bubbles at the top. Patience and perseverance not included but, the rewards will be generous!
Pokemon Gold/Silver remakes confirmed

The remakes of the classic Pokemon Gold/Silver editions have just been confirmed. The two titles are scheduled to release in Japan this fall. As expected, the games are seeing a release on the DS and will be called Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

When E3 rolls by this year, you can expect a ton of information to be shared. But until then, here’s a small piece of information about the game. In Nintendo’s 2009 fiscal year results, it is stated that “The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks…will appeal to a wider age group of people, and will launch in the later half of the year”. So, the game is still on track for 2009 and it looks as though it is taking a similar approach to Phantom Hourglass.
