This Thursday, Teyon will release a new game for the DSiWare service titled “Escape the Virus: Swarm Survival”. It’ll be available for $2 / 200 points. The European version is set for July 5.

More information about the game can be found below.

The official Tokyo Game Show 2012 site has seen a grand opening today. You can access the English page here.

For a list of exhibitors attending TGS 2012, head past the break. Capcom and Konami are just a couple of companies attending the show.

Much like we did with Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, we’re sharing a list of differences between Black/White 2 and the original games. It’s not nearly as extensive as our Platinum and Diamond/Pearl post from 2008, but there are still a number of differences to check out.

The full list can be found below.

  • New locations are accessible in the game, including an underwater tube for travel and the sewers beneath Castelia.
  • Your journey starts in a new town called Aspertia City, located in southwest of the Unova region. The Japanese name is Hiougi Town.
  • The Unova Pokedex features 300 Pokemon from the start. Unlike Black and White, the game will allow you to capture monsters from previous generation right from the start.
  • Black Kyurem will know the move Freeze Shock. White Kyurem will know the move Ice Burn. Black Kyurem is related to legendary monster Zekrom and White Kyurem is related to legendary monster Reshiram.
  • There will be new forms of the three roaming Pokemon from Black and White: Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus. Their forms can be changed by giving them the “Reflecting Mirror” item to hold.
  • The game features a new story that takes place 2 years after BW, involving a new version of Team Plasma. Characters from the first game return, such as Cheren, Bianca, and N.
  • All of the gyms are either modified, as in the case of Elesa’s electric gym in Nimbasa City (now a fashion runway, not a roller coaster), or new (such as Cheren’s normal gym).
  • The Pokewood movie-making minigame is a new feature to go along with Pokemon Musicals.
  • Previous Gym Leaders and Champions from other regions can be battled in the World Tournament. Participants include Red, Blue, Lance, Misty, Steven, Cynthia, and several more.
  • Keldeo obtains an alternate form by learning the move “Sacred Sword.”
  • Iris replaces Alder as the Unova Region Champion.

A new report published today on Famitsu.com indicates that Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 have sold 1,618,621 copies in just two days on the Japanese market. Parent company Enterbrain provided the data.

In addition to becoming the first title to reach one million sales in Japan this year, Black 2 and White 2 are off to the third-best start on the DS.

Even though the aforementioned sales are mightily impressive, the original Pokemon Black/White games performed even better. The two titles moved 2,637,285 units in Japan during the same period.

Each copy of Dragon Quest X is rumored to be packaged with a unique registration code. Without this code, it’s impossible to play the game.

This is just retailer speculation at the moment. Square Enix hasn’t officially weighed in on the situation, but if it sticks, this could mean that Dragon Quest X could be excluded from used game sales.

Super Mario Land is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to sales on the North American eShop. Despite not mentioning this on the latest Nintendo Direct (unless I somehow missed the news), it seems as though additional deals will be hitting the store.

The official US Nintendo site mentions that a deal will be made available “each week”. Come Thursday/Friday, a new title should go on sale.

Sales are also taking place in Europe and Japan, but they’re being handled very differently. Last week, five games were made available at a discount. An additional batch will go on sale later this week.

Nintendo of Europe will be publishing a new Wii game from CK Games next month.

“Quiz Party” is a casual title featuring over 2,000 questions pertaining to history, geography, sports, television, and movies. A multiplayer mode is included that allows players to split into teams of two or four. Mascots for each team can be chosen, including Miis.

There are a ton of comparisons in the images above. They relate to launch colors, system size, screen size, hardware details, and more. Check them out for yourself in the gallery above.
