Retro action game Alpha launching on the Switch eShop this week

Retro action game Alpha, developed and published by KANAME, will be released on the Switch eShop this week, on April 19. The game is currently confirmed for a release in North America and Japan, where it will cost $5.00 / 480 yen respectively. A release on the European eShop currently isn’t planned. Octopath Traveler adding Simplified & Traditional Chinese language support on June 7

Octopath Traveler is getting a patch on June 7, Square Enix announced today. The purpose of this update will be to add support for both Simplified and Traditional Chinese text to the game. Currently, the game supports Japanese, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish text, with options for either Japanese or English voice acting.

Yo-kai Watch 4 – new info on the yo-kai world, watch users, befriending system, and more

As part of the lead up to Yo-Kai Watch 4, developer Level-5 has put out even more info on the yo-kai world confirmed for the game — as well as details on playable characters, the yo-kai befriending system, and some new yo-kai.

Mario Tennis Aces update out now (version 3.0.0) – new opening movie and more

Nintendo and Camelot have released a major update for Mario Tennis Aces, continuing the game’s support nearly a year later. The latest version is 3.0.0.
Ring Shot mode has been added as something entirely new to the game. You can battle against opponents while trying to pass the ball through rings and wrack up your score. Yoshi’s Ring Shot is available as well, and is being featured in the Co-op Challenge mode. Finally, there’s a new opening movie in the game’s story mode.

The Art of Splatoon 2 coming west in 2019

The Art of Splatoon 2, which released in Japan back in November 2017, is finally coming west. Listings on Amazon reveal that the book will be made available in North America and Europe later in the year.

Apex Legends dev hears the requests for a Switch version, but nothing to announce for now

EA and Respawn launched their free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends at the start of February. Right after that, we heard that the team was interested in having the game on Switch, but there was nothing they could take about at the time.
Respawn project lead Drew McCoy has now addressed the Switch discussion once again. As part of a new Wired feature, McCoy acknowledged all of the requests about wanting to play the game on Nintendo’s console. However, no promises can be made and the team doesn’t have anything to announce at this time.
