Legendary Pokémon Latios and Latias Mega Evolve and Help Trainers Navigate the Hoenn Region by Air, Special Demo Version Details, New Mega-Evolved Pokémon, and Gameplay Features Revealed

LONDON, United Kingdom.—14 October 2014— Today, The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced that the Legendary Pokémon Latios can be obtained in Pokémon Omega Ruby, while Latias can be obtained in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the titles launch 28 November 2014 for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. These high-flying Dragon- and Psychic-type Pokémon can Mega Evolve and fly freely through the skies of the Hoenn region. Trainers can hop on the back of their Mega Latios or Mega Latias and navigate the region through the air at high speed while performing midair tricks and hairpin turns. This brand-new method of travel, called Soar, takes a player’s Pokémon adventure to new heights and provides access to Mirage spots, where rare Pokémon—including Legendary Pokémon—and valuable items may appear.

It was also revealed today that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players will be able to obtain the Eon Ticket later this year, granting them access to the Hoenn region’s Southern Island, where they can encounter and catch Latias in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Latios in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This is the only way players can catch these Legendary Pokémon in-game, as they cannot be caught during normal gameplay. More details about when and how players can obtain the Eon Ticket will be announced later this year.

Yesterday, Zen Studios announced that South Park tables will soon be coming to its pinball platforms. These tables were confirmed for practically every device imaginable, ranging from consoles to mobile. The one platform that was left out, however, was Wii U.

There is at least one encouraging piece of news to report. While the South Park tables won’t be available for Wii U this week, they’re still on the way to Nintendo’s console – there’s just no release date yet.

Zen Studios noted on Twitter today:

The latest Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter update has revealed that the game will be receiving English voice acting in the final build. Backers were asked to participate in a vote for either English or Japanese voices, and English edged forward by a only a matter of hundreds.

Here’s the full quote:

YOUR “VOICE” HAS BEEN HEARD!
We’ve been seeing great discussions all over our forums, twitter feed and Facebook for the past week, all focused on a single burning question: English or Japanese? Which language will all the voice acting be in for Mighty No. 9?!

The response has been amazing: over 20,000 of you weighed in with your choice over the last few days, and now we’re finally back with your decision:

Mighty No. 9 will include English voice acting!
You might be thinking “Well DUH! Of course it’s English — the largest majority of Mighty No. 9 backers speak English!” And sure, you’d be right, but you’d be surprised how close the vote was — less than 1,000 votes separated the two choices, from the start right down to the end!

So a HUGE thanks to ALL of you for helping us make Mighty No. 9 a better game, with special thanks to our slacker backers and beckers who upped their reward tiers, since it’s their purchases that will make this bonus content possible and guarantees it for all our backers! You guys & gals are the best! (?^?)?
