Site note: Emails

Posted on 15 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in Site updates | 0 comments

Over the past few days, our email system has been a little wonky (to say the least.) I began to notice that I wasn’t receiving emails, although I wasn’t too sure what the problem was. As I can tell, the issue has been fixed, but I’m not entirely sure if I’ve received emails over the past week, at the very least. So, if you think you sent an email in to Nintendo Everything and have yet to receive a reply, try sending it in again. Things should be better now!

I’m not entirely sure whether you guys will find this useful or not, but I’ve added a new feature to NE’s version of WordPress. At the end of each news post article, you can find a couple of links that are related to the news post you are currently reading. That way, if you want to read additional information about a particular subject, you won’t have to go searching for related content. It’s not perfect, and I’ve been tweaking the system, but I hope you guys find it useful.

As most of you have probably already assumed, I am unable to attend E3. I was invited, but unfortunately, personal reasons stopped any chances of me going out to see the event. However, I’m fully prepared to keep you guys covered on all of the news and will do so most of the day tomorrow. Moreover, I’m considering doing a liveblog of the event, even though I’m not there (doesn’t make much sense, right?). I am a bit bummed I can’t see Nintendo up close and personal, but perhaps in future years I can experience what Nintendo has to offer.

Welp, today’s the day: The birthday of the United States. There’s only a few hours left of July 4th, but I just wanted to wish everybody a happy holiday. If you’re planning on lighting up the sky with some fireworks, remember to be safe! Oh, and don’t forget to save some time for gaming…It goes along perfectly with the festivities!

Some of you probably know that Nintendo Everything has been down the past two hours. This issue was a problem associated with our host, and not a problem on our end. Still, that didn’t make waiting out the downtime any easier! Oddly enough, our host is up 99.99% of the time (this is a real stat, not a joke!), and the average downtime wait is around 30 minutes for our host. So, definitely inconvenient, but thankfully, today was an extremely slow news day. I apologize to those attempting to access the site, but we’re back!

Contest update

Posted on 15 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in Site updates | 0 comments

As many of you may know, Nintendo Everything had a contest running for about a week. Well, it’s finally time to announce a winner. NE reader Duke has won the contest and has decided to claim the respectable LostWinds as his prize. If you did not win, don’t be disheartened as Nintendo Everything will continue to provide its readers with unique opportunities to participate in future contests.

Hey folks. Just wanted to remind you guys that we are still accepting entries to our WiiWare contest. All it requires is an email with your nick name! All entries must be submitted to [email protected] before the end of Wednesday.

Check out the full details here

To celebrate the launch of WiiWare, Nintendo Everything is hosting a simple contest to get a chance to experience one of the newest WiiWare titles. The rules of the contest are as follows:

1) Wii consoles of the participants must be from the United States so that the WiiWare game can be gifted.

2) One entry per person.

3) Entries past the deadline will not be accepted.

So, how exactly can you enter? Just send an email to [email protected] with your nick name. One winner will be chosen at random. If you are picked as the winner, Wii codes will need to be exchanged.

Deadline: Wednesday, May 21

Good luck and happy gaming!

– A contest: Yep it’ll be an easy contest, one in which can be entered with little effort.

– More 3D images: Will there be more Metroid Prime 3 images, or will I take a shot at a different series? Return to NE to find out!
– Articles: I might not release articles this week, but I do have two in store for you guys to take a look at.

– The return of the vs. feature: Yeah, I sort of forgot about this for awhile. Though, it will be back!

I’m sure I’m forgetting a few things, but the items mentioned above should give you a good idea of what to expect this week.

Well, I have a question for you guys who are interested – which series would you be interested seeing in 3D? I could still do Metroid if it is requested, but I thought that some of you may be excited to see something else. 3D is actually something I’ve started to find enjoyment in, so I am planning on making images on a fairly regular basis. Anyway, before I ramble on too long, let me know what you wish to see in the future by commenting, emailing, or any other way you feel is appropriate.
