Nintendo of America on lack of 3DS VC games
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
North America has gone many, many weeks without a 3DS Virtual Console game. That’s in spite of the fact that there are plenty of titles releasing in Japan, and a decent amount have been available in Europe.
What does Nintendo of America have to say about the situation? Not much. The company’s response to the dearth of 3DS VC games wasn’t really a response of all.
NOA said in a statement:
“Each week Nintendo makes available a mix of Nintendo eShop, Virtual Console, WiiWare and Nintendo DSiWare games. Combined, these services currently provide gamers with hundreds of fun and interesting downloadable games to choose from. There is no preset schedule as to how many games will become available in a given week, but many more are on the way via all of these digital-delivery systems.”
The drought will finally be coming to an end this Thursday with Kirby’s Block Ball.

Order! sequel heading to the Japanese eShop
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii | 0 comments
You may remember Order!, a Japanese WiiWare game released in 2009. The game is getting a sequel on the 3DS eShop titled “Yo no Majin to Ikusa no Kuni”.
Not much is known about Yo no Majin to Ikusa no Kuni, but the royal themes from Order! have been substituted for vampire elements. Players will experience the life of a vampire in the game. Andriasang says that you’ll “have to decide to live like a vampire or do things one would not expect of a vampire.”
Yo no Majin to Ikusa no Kuni will be hitting Japan on May 30 for 700 yen.
SEGA not planning much 3DS support for current fiscal year

SEGA will ship just three 3DS games this fiscal year, which takes place between April 2012 and March 2013. The company is forecasting roughly 380,000 sales from these titles. To compare, SEGA launched eighteen 3DS games in its previous fiscal year, earning nearly 1.8 million sales.

Dynasty Warriors Vs. staying in Japan
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Don’t expect Tecmo Koei to localize Dynasty Warriors Vs. The company’s European community manager, Chin Soon Sun, has ruled out the possibility of a North American/European release.
Sun wrote on Twitter:
“Dynasty Warriors VS (for the Nintendo 3DS) – This title is for Japan only & will not be localized and released for / in overseas.”
The sales of Samurai Warriors: Chronicles probably played a role in Tecmo Koei’s decision. I don’t believe it sold well, so Tecmo Koei is probably hesitant to localize a similar title for overseas territories.

Kingdom Hearts 3D demo will be released in North America
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed the recent Kingdom Hearts 3D demo for North America. Nomura mentioned the news in the latest issue of Famitsu.
He said:
“We’ve decided to distribute a KH3D demo in North America as well as Japan. You can play part of Sora’s scenario in Traverse Town. So if your friends haven’t played it yet, you can recommend it to them…”
Nomura didn’t say anything about Europe, but I imagine it’ll be released there as well.
The Kingdom Hearts 3D demo is comprised of some gameplay in Traverse Town. Players use Wonder Nyan, Neko Cat and Kuma Panda as members of their Dream Eater party. The demo can be experienced up to fifteen times.
