We knew that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D would be releasing this winter. Hideo Kojima has clarified this, announcing that the title will launch in Winter 2012 in Japan. This time frame most likely applies to North America and Europe as well.

This is just my thought: Right now, I personally don’t see why anyone who owns a PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 would be interested in Snake Eater 3D. You can instead pick up what I feel is a superior package – Metal Gear Solid HD Collection – that not only contains Snake Eater (minus the 3D), but also Metal Gear Solid 2 and Peace Walker HD. The graphics in all of those titles have been enhanced, and you’ll be able to experience them all on your television.

Ah well… at least 3DS owners will be getting something!

Square Enix has officially announced that Dragon Quest Monsters 3D is in development. Fans can expect a number of additions, such as new monsters, new story elements, and more. Square Enix has also confirmed that the title will be released in Japan some time next year.

It appears that V Jump has revealed Dragon Quest Monsters 3D, a remake of the 1998 Game Boy/Game Boy Color title, for the 3DS. The original game is also known as Dragon Warrior Monsters.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any details or information at the moment. All that has been released thus far is a scan (see above) that contains the announcement. We’re still awaiting details and screenshots at this time.

Square Enix should be confirming the news soon – perhaps within the next couple of days.
