Mastiff and Renegade Kid Reveal THE ENEMY as the Writers Behind Moon

San Francisco, Calif. – October 23, 2008 – “Are you seeing this, General? – My people are all dead! What the hell did you lead us into here?” – Major Kane.
Mastiff and Renegade Kid are proud to announce that they have teamed up with writers James McDonough and Adam Patyk (Hellboy, Transformers and much more) of THE ENEMY to turn the dark and twisted storyline into something even more ominous.
“Working on Moon has been an absolute blast,” said writer Adam Patyk of THE ENEMY. “The fantastic gameplay and striking graphics are some of the first things you notice about the game, and that played a big role in why we were so excited when Mastiff asked us to get involved in helping to refine the characters and story for Moon.”
Igarashi still interested in Castlevania on the DS

Koji Igarashi, producer of Castlevania titles throughout recent years, has expressed interest in creating more games in the series for the DS. So no – Order of Ecclesia may not be the last that we see of the series on the DS.
“I would definitely like to develop still more Castlevania games for the DS platform! For the US market, though, the retail price on DS games are traditionally very low – $30, maybe $40 if the game card itself has a larger capacity. The development costs for Castlevania do tend to be higher than average for a DS game, so it’s hard to get some concepts for the series approved. I love the DS and want to continue work on it, but I’m not sure if it’s the best option from a pure business standpoint.”
This is unsurprising considering how well all three DS titles have been received and some of Mr. Igarshi’s best work can be seen on Nintendo’s latest handheld.

BioWare has more in store for the DS

“We also have Dragon Age, and we recently released the Sonic handheld game for DS, and we’ve got other DS plans that we’re thinking about these days. It’s quite a bit of stuff. We’ve a pretty a big plate full of things we’re working on. Across the studio we number probably over 400 people.” – Greg Zeschuk, BioWare co-founder
BioWare has expressed interest in making a sequel to Sonic Chronicles, but reviews on the game have been mixed. I’d expect the company’s next project to involve something other than Sonic.
