Miyamoto dishes on Zelda Wii art style

Will Zelda Wii boast an art style comparable to either of Link’s outings on the GameCube? In an interview with Nintendo Power, Shigeru Miyamoto touched on the subject. Fans of a more serious, realistic graphics will be happy to know that the art style for Zelda Wii won’t be dramatically different than Twilight Princess. A piece of concept art hinted that this would probably be the case.
“I don’t think it’s going to change dramatically. We are doing it on the Wii [console]. That being said, we can look at Twilight Princess – it was built to run on both GameCube and Wii, and this one will be running only on Wii, so I think there will be differences inherent to the fact that it’s only on this platform.”
Miyamoto also mentioned once again that the female character in the illustration shown to the press at E3 is very important and that he wishes for everyone’s Zelda experience to be unique.
“Every person’s own individual experiences with the game should be unique and be their own sort of ‘My Zelda’ experience, and I think that’s super important, and we have to look at that when we’re creating dungeons and how we can make that come true. So we’re spending a lot of time concentrating our efforts in that area. But it’s not going to become individual: ‘Hi, I’m this Zelda’ or ‘I’m this Link!.’ The experience will be unique but within the world that we’ve defined.”
As we mentioned yesterday, we will continue to be posting information from the Miyamoto interview as the days go by.

Rumor: Nintendo has two more MotionPlus titles for 2009
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Wii | 2 Comments
Wii Sports Resort, the first Wii MotionPlus-enabled title from Nintendo, only recently made its debut in Japan and will shortly be available worldwide in only a matter of weeks. However, it may not be the only game to be supporting the add-on from the company this year. According to Japanese website Gamememo, Nintendo will be publishing two more MotionPlus titles in 2009. The only questions are whether these titles have been announced or not and if the rumor only applies to Japan. Gamememo mentions Cosmic Walker as a candidate to be making use of the peripheral sometime this year, though Spam Smasher, which was announced secretly after E3 (and has been confirmed to use MotionPlus), is another possibility.
