“One of the main reasons why we’re back on Wii is because of the controller. When we released the first one on Wii, you had this feeling just finished with moving the controller; it was really good. So, if we released it on Xbox 360, for example, we’d have to rethink this feeling. I wanted to keep the game’s controller gimmick, so that’s why the fighting was more fitting on Wii, rather than on other platforms.” – Suda51

Shigeru Miyamoto told the Official Nintendo Magazine last week that the next Zelda title might not be shown at E3. So, does it seem plausible that the title Miyamoto was referring to will release in 2009? According to Lazard Capital Markets’ Colin Sebastian, yes. Sebastian believes that not only will a new Zelda game release in 2009, but Princess Peach will show her face in a new title as well. The Princess Peach prediction seems more likely to release next year than Zelda, but it does appear to be very random that Sebastian would even begin discussing Princess Peach at all.

Over the past few days – or weeks rather – rumors have circulating that Factor 5 has been in all sorts of trouble, including the dismissal of staff members and most recently, speculation that the company has shut down completely. Now, a new rumor has appeared, this time involving the Wii. If the latest buzz is to be believed, a tech demo has been discovered featuring a prototype engine for Nintendo’s system. Additionally, the engine is supposedly based off of the company’s Lair engine. The video is much too short and thus difficult to judge, though if anything, the engine that Factor 5 has produced has a lot of promise, if anything.
