Gamers will smile over NOA’s next title that they’re working on

“The games that become localization projects are basically business decisions made after much discussion between NCL and NOA. Those decisions are extremely complicated and involve the input of many departments of both companies — the particulars must remain secret to disorient the very vocal champions of various neglected franchises…As far as what I’m working on now, that’s a secret too, but I’m pretty sure it’ll make you smile.” – Nate Bihldoff, Sr. Localization Manager
Personally, I get the feeling from this quote that the localization team is busy with something that has already been released in Japan. And, you know, a lot of things would make me smile. We’ve been waiting for games like Disaster, Another Code R, and Captain Rainbow (although the chances of that title ending up in North America are slim.) I’m chomping at the bit to find out what’s being worked on. It’d even be interesting if it was, somehow, an unannounced project.

Fans of the Bit.Tip series will be delighted to know that three more titles in their beloved series have been confirmed. Many already knew that there would be six total games, but a recent interview cements that in place and provides a possible release window when asked about Bit.Trip Void.
“If I were to guess, it would be mid-October. We wanted to push that release date back.” -Gaijin Games Art Director, Mike Roush
In addition, Roush teased the content of the newest Bit.Trip title.
“I will not give you a hint, however, it is the game we all wanted to make when we started Gaijin Games. It’s the game we’ve been waiting for… I will give you a hint: it will be based off of an Atari game.”

Nintendo says there are “no plans to cut the price of Wii”
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 3 Comments
“We currently have no plans to cut the price of Wii. Current talk of price cuts is rumour and speculation. This is rumour and speculation as Nintendo have made no announcements on price. Furthermore this is most likely retailer led much in the same way retailers in the UK offer price promotions on our products.” – Nintendo spokesperson
This situation is a bit odd. I wasn’t entirely sure that the Wii would be getting a price cut when the Walmart ad was supposedly leaked. However, when we saw the Toys R Us image, it looked as though the system would almost certainly be reduced to $199.99. I’m still not entirely sure what to believe, but like I said yesterday, we’ll find out for sure soon enough.
