Cyberpunk 2077 Switch 2 sales

According to a report from CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 saw most of its Nintendo Switch 2 sales as a physical release at launch.

This information comes from the company’s latest financial report. CD Projekt Red gave a specific look at the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077, which covers all sales for June. The split was 75.4 physical and 24.6 digital.

Below is a look at that in particular:

There’s been a clear move to digital games across the industry as a whole, but it’s clear that there’s still an opportunity in the physical space. CD Projekt Red was able to take advantage of this in particular. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the few Nintendo Switch 2 games at launch that was not a game-key card. These cards have seen significant backlash from collectors since the data isn’t included, meaning you still need to download everything like you would if you bought it from the Nintendo eShop.
