Dragon Quest Builders 2 getting a demo in Japan on December 6, Bulletin Board and Builder Pencil features revealed

During a Builders School Multiplayer Party broadcast, Square Enix announced that a demo for Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be distributed on the Japanese Switch eShop beginning December 6. It’ll feature the tutorial and a section of the first island. Players can build and experience some of the game’s new “Bulletin Board” element in the demo, but multiplayer won’t be included.

Square Enix also gave a first look at Bulletin Board and Builder Pencil features during today’s presentation. Find the relevant details below.

Bulletin Board

– Share screenshots with other players through the Internet
– Caption and tag screenshots
– Photo Mode included
– Functions include move, rotate, zoom, roll, focus, shadow strength, and various filters
– Bulletin Board is sorted by ranking
– There are “Overall Ranking,” “Daily Ranking,” and “Tag-Specific Ranking”
– Various official contests are also planned to be held
– Other ways to share your landscapes
– Other players can visit your Vacant Island, and you can visit other players’ islands
– Both screenshots and landscapes can be viewed and visited regardless of PlayStation 4 or Switch platforms
– On load screens, a random Bulletin Board screenshot will be displayed

Builder Pencil

– Lets you scan things to create a blueprint
– Can scan a considerably large range
– This allows you to create blueprints for even huge buildings
– You can own up to four copied “Scan Blueprints”
