Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is coming to Switch, Rabbit & Bear Studios has been confirmed.

There’s been some uncertainty as to which Nintendo platform we’d be seeing the RPG on. Rabbit & Bear Studios has previously talked about the possibility of putting the game on Switch or its successor.

Writing on Kickstarter today, the developer said:

That’s right! Given recent speculation over the Nintendo Switch and potential next generation Nintendo iterations, we wanted to play it safe and investigate what options we had before fully committing to a Nintendo Switch version.

But now the wait is over and we’re delighted to confirm that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will also be landing on Nintendo Switch.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is not to be confused with Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, the latter of which just launched on Switch. Rising, which was made by Natsume Atari, is action RPG that takes place in the same world as Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. On the other hand, Hundred Heroes will be a pure strategy RPG created by Rabbit & Bear Studios.

In other news, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has introduced Yaelu as one of its newest characters. She’s from a reclusive settlement, and said to be “inquisitive by nature,” but “is struggling to overcome her shyness and find the courage to make contact with the outside world.” You can find the full Kickstarter update here.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will arrive for Switch in 2023.
