Free Comic Book Day 2020 to feature The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess / Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show
Had the coronavirus pandemic not happened, Free Comic Book Day 2020 would have already taken place. The good news is that the event will still be running this year, and has actually expanded for a full summer experience. And much like we saw with the ARMS comic preview back in 2018 (we’re still waiting on the full version, by the way), there’ll be a Nintendo-related offering.
Free Comic Day 2020 will close out with the The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show manga. Here’s an overview from the official website:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: Once upon a time, wizards tried to conquer the Sacred Realm of Hyrule. The Spirits of Light sealed the wizards’ power within the Shadow Crystal and banished them to the Twilight Realm beyond the Mirror of Twilight. Now, an evil menace is trying to find Midna, Princess of the Twilight Realm, and the fragments of the Shadow Crystal to gain the power to rule over both the Twilight Realm and the World of Light! PLUS: Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show, a new series based on the world of Splatoon, the hit video game series from Nintendo!
Be sure to check with your local retailer on September 9, which is when this will be available. The site states that releases from Free Comic Book Day “may vary from shop to shop, as retailers are encouraged to release the books as they see fit for their unique circumstances. Retailers may release one free title a day, may make all of that week’s free titles available at once, or any other plan that works for them.”
