GRID Autosport for Switch adding new local multiplayer features next week, online multiplayer in 2020

Feral Interactive has announced a pair of new updates that are in the works for GRID Autosport on Switch.

The first patch, which is slated for December 16, adds a couple of new multiplayer features. Players will be able to access two-player splitscreen as well as eight-player local wireless multiplayer. In 2020, another update will include online multiplayer.

Here’s the official announcement regarding upcoming updates:

Now that GRID Autosport is out on the track, we plan to move it up a gear with some exciting new features. There are two free updates in development:
16 December 2019
– 2 player split-screen
– Local wireless multiplayer for up to 8 players
2020
– Online multiplayer
GRID Autosport is available to purchase now from the Nintendo eShop for $34.99 / £29.99 / €34.99 / ¥4400. It is a single purchase that includes all additional content.
