Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party!!!! gets December 2022 update, eShop sale
Three years after its original release, Taito has just given Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party!!!! another update. We also have news about a sale on the eShop.
As for the update, it includes improvements to Ranked Match, balance changes, bug fixes and four new, voiced navigators, including two hololive stars. Read the official patch notes below.
Ranked Match additions and changes
– A new rule to allow two players to play two songs has been added to Ranked Match
* This rule will alternate with the 4-player game rule at regular intervals
– Added new rewards (messages, titles)
– Changed the GC price to use some items
– Slightly extended the time before transitioning to the next screen after reaching the maximum number of participating members on the matching screenAdjustments to versus play
– Changed the effects of some Wai Wai Stars in versus play
– Reduced the stun duration and the number of inputs required to cancel it
– Reduced Silence durationChanges and adjustments to sound effects
– Changed the tone for the Dual Slide sound effect from the slie sound effect’s to heighten the sense of performance
– Extended the playback time of sound effects for long targets such as hold, so they don’t cut out
– Adjusted the playback timing and volume balance of some effectsChanges to Settings
– When changing the size of the target, the surrounding circle representing the timing for the target, the slide arrow, and the line thickness denoting hold etc. will also change (Settings -> Songs -> Target Size)
– Changed the size of the glow effect behind the avatar to also change when the avatar size is changed (Settings -> Songs -> Avatar Size)Other changes
– Collections: When changing avatars, navigators, and titles, the cursor has been changed to match the currently selected one
– On the Challenge screen, changed cursor behavior so that pressing up when highlighting the challenge at the top will move the cursor to the bottom of the list
– When the game is paused during a song, no inputs are accepted and pause is not cancelled immediately with rapid, repeated inputsBug fixes
– Fixed a bug where some DLC pack jacket images and song titles were not displayed correctly on the song selection screen
– Fixed a bug where the sound at the beginning of the song would be played twice in some songs when the numerical value was changed to a specific value (Settings -> Judgment -> Audio and Video)
