How to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge / Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet / Violet

Charcadet can turn into either Armarouge or Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, and we have the steps players can take to evolve it.

In Pokemon Scarlet, Charcadet can become Armarouge. The evolution for Pokemon Violet is Ceruledge.

What is Charcadet?

Charcadet is a Fire Child Pokemon with the Fire type. Of course, the main attraction here is what it can evolve into.

Here’s what the Pokedex entry mentions: “Burnt charcoal came to life and became a Pokémon. Possessing a fiery fighting spirit, Charcadet will battle even tough opponents.”

What is Armarouge?

Armarouge is a Fire Warrior Pokemon with the Fire / Psychic type. Its highlight is the new move Armor Canon in which the creature moves both its pauldrons to its hands and puts its arms together to form a cannon. This lets it shoot its own armor out as blazing projectiles. Despite being quite powerful, it lowers Armarouge’s Defense and Sp. Defense stats.

We have the following Pokedex entry for Armarouge: “Armarouge evolved through the use of a set of armor that belonged to a distinguished warrior. This Pokemon is incredibly loyal.”

What is Ceruledge?

Ceruledge is a Fire Blades Pokemon with the Fire / Ghost type. It has its own new move, Bitter Blade, that gathers the lingering regrets of the fallen into the creature’s swords to focus that bitterness into a slashing attack. The swords absorb life energy from wounds they made, and the user’s HP is restored by up to half the damage taken by the target.

As for Ceruledge’s Pokedex entry, here’s what that says: “The fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal.”
