Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth games, Death end re;Quest: Code Z cancelled on Nintendo Switch in the west

Idea Factory just announced that it has cancelled the releases of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 Sisters Generation, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation, and Death end re;Quest: Code Z on Nintendo Switch in the west. This applies to both North America and Europe.

According to the company, these games did not comply with Nintendo’s guidelines. No further information was provided.

All of these titles are already available in Japan. Idea Factory had plans to bring everything over, but that’s no longer the case.

Idea Factory indefinitely delayed the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy on Nintendo Switch overseas back in May. The company may have been attempting to work something out with Nintendo, but has now scrapped everything entirely.

Idea Factory’s notice today did mention that Death end re;Quest: Code Z is still coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in the west in 2025. If you want to play this one in English, you’ll need to grab it on one of those platforms.
