[Let’s Talk] What are you playing? – August 2025
A new month started up not too long ago. Now that we’re in August, we want to know what you’ve been playing.
Have you been giving Drag x Drive a chance on Nintendo Switch 2? Maybe you’re playing through the shadowdrops from the recent Indie World Showcase? No matter the case, let us know in the comments.

I look forward to playing the UFO game but I keep getting distracted by other things. I brought my 3ds on a long plane trip and got sucked into the Metroid 2 remake for the whole ride. Perhaps during the holidays.

My biggest complaint was that there didn’t seem to be many games. I think it showed that we’re in a transition period where developers are worried about how games designed for the older hardware sell on the newer hardware. Things should improve as more developers have the chance to work specifically on the Switch 2.

There wasn’t much in the Indie World direct that caught my eye, even with Mina the Hollower getting a demo (can’t wait for the full game). I would say that I’m happy to see UFO 50 coming to Switch, but I’ll wait and see what my funds say after a month or two (and better yet, a sale).

I find myself getting more and more into indie games. Nintendo/Nintendo Quality AAAs and indies are all I’ve bought in the past year.
Surprisingly to me, Ball x Pit actually caught my attention. I’ve never had much interest in trying vampire survivors (which the dev mentioned was one of the inspiration games) but what I see is a breakout survivor game that I’d like to give a try.
