[Let’s Talk] What are you playing? – February 2024

A new month just started up a few days ago. Now that we’re in February, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Highlights from last week’s topic: 3DS and Wii U online memories
Birdo
I played lot of Wii U back in Wii U era days. My favourite games on it is Super Smash Bros., Zelda The Wind Waker HD remake, Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Deus Ex: Revolution – Director’s Cut, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and lot more. I can’t going on list. Wii U not amazing system but it got some fantastic games on fun system despite stupid named for system that Nintendo made mistake. Anyway Wii U still memorable system thanks to good library of games.

Playing animal Crossing new leaf online was great. It was actually my first animal crossing game so while I can still do that with new horizons, new leaf holds a place in my heart for that.
I also really enjoyed playing Team Kirby Clash. It was free to play but I personally never felt pressured into buying gem apples. I tended to play doctor as I like being a healer.

On the 3DS I played a lot of MH 4U (it was so weird that 3U only had online on the WiiU), Mario Kart 7 (played a bit yesterday, but some hackers spoiled the fun) and Kid Icarus Uprising.
On the WiiU, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, COD Black Ops 2 and MH3U was the ones that I played a lot online. And I used Netflix and the Webbrowser a lot too, but it was weird that I got the impression that Netflix on the WiiU got worse with the updates.
Also Miiverse was fun, kinda miss that

Too many to list, both positive and negative.
But one of the most memorable is probably how Pokemon X/Y got me back into Pokemon after Gen 1-3 were amazing but 4 and 5 were progressively worse and more boring. Then 6 came back with a bang, and the Gen 3 remakes being top tier…..
But then followed by the worst Gen at the time, 7. Until both Switch Gens got progressively worse.
Also going to conventions with my 3DS in street pass mode and having the list full up, emptying it and by the time I took 3 steps it was full again.
Oh! And how could I forget. Reminding everyone that the 3DS almost flopped entirely at launch because of Iwata.
