[Let’s Talk] What are you playing? – November 2018
Posted on November 10, 2018 by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk
Last week, a new month rolled right on in. Now that we’re in November, we want to know what you’ve been playing.
Have you started up something entirely new for the month? Trying out some of the recent third-party Switch games like Diablo III? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.
Highlights from last week’s topic: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct reactions – November 2018
Really, really bad characters to reveal last, they were enough to make my hype dwindle combined with the Grinch leak turning out false. It picked up again with most other info however, so I guess it was okay in the end, especially with World of Light being shown off. The previous Smash Direct was much better though.
Ken and Incineroar was a meh characters for me but I am happy that there are some that likes them. My favorite reveal was Piranha Plant, I hated him first but after I while I fell in love with its attacks and animation. Also the world of light trailer was dope
I went it not expecting much, and honestly I came out ready to finally commit to preordering the game.
Incineroar looks really fun (and my Sun/Moon Starter of choice despite preferring water starters and not really being a cat person).
I question why we need another Street Fighter rep, but don’t really have very many strong feelings on Ken one way or another.
I was really iffy on the Spirits when they first started talking about it, replacing Trophies with just still artwork seemed kind of lame, but I do like the emulating other characters through battles with special mechanics. If there’s a lot of them, and they all seem as neat and well thought out as the ones they showed off in the video, it might be a fun mode.
I think $6 for a fighter is kind of a lot when we get 74 fighters for $60 (There’s also a stage and music but we’ll have lots of those in the base game too), but I always tend to think DLC is overpriced. I might reconsider if the DLC fighters seems fun.
Not gonna say I wanted or was hoping for Piranha Plant, but it actually looks really fun and I like how it runs on its stubby little roots and its fighting style looks fun. In fact it is probably the newcomer I am most excited for!
First off let me just say that the DLC characters better have at least one BotW Champion and a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 character. I don’t care that those games have been on Switch for a year and they probably want characters from new releases.
Overall I really don’t think I’ll be a huge fan of whatever the “spirits” are. I’ll definitely use them but I see myself playing without them more often. I really dig that they are tied to a story mode though. Hopefully that will be interesting.
