Mega Man 11 sales surpass two million
Capcom provided an update on its various games and franchises today, revealing the latest sales for Mega Man 11.
Since launch, the game has sold over two million copies worldwide. As previously reported, it’s now the best-selling entry in the series. Mega Man Legacy Collection held the record before that at 1.60 million with Mega Man 2 shortly behind at 1.51 million.
Believe it or not, it’s been about seven years since Mega Man 11 first debuted. Capcom has come out with other collections since then – Mega Man X Legacy Collection is actually at 1.40 million units sold. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection also previously released, and at last count was at 1.32 million copies though it does not appear on Capcom’s most recent list. Mega Man 11 is the last original, mainline addition to the franchise and there hasn’t been any news about what could come next.
Speaking of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, that one actually does have its own milestone. The package is confirmed to be the fastest-selling entry in the series.
Mega Man 11, Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man X Legacy Collection, Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection are all available on Nintendo Switch.
